Everyone knows that an essential aspect of a perfect road trip is the playlist. The best songs for this playlist are ones you, and anyone accompanying you, can belt out. They lift you up and give you the energy to go that extra mile (pun intended). I'm aware everyone has different musical tastes, but these songs are guaranteed to make your road trip playlist ten times better.

1. Animal by Neon Trees

Not only is this a nice throwback, it's also a bop. It makes you want to jump up and down and scream the lyrics. While you can't really go crazy dancing while driving, you can definitely sing along wildly with your friends, or yourself.

2. Fuck You by CeeLo Green

Another throwback that guarantees hand gestures and laughs as you sing along. If your prone to listening to sad songs on long drives (I know I am), this is the perfect bounce back song.

3. My Church by Maren Morris

Not everybody enjoys country (I'm not entirely sure why not???), but you will definitely enjoy this one. It's the definition of a cruising song. It's the song you want playing on the radio while you drive on winding forested roads or on the PCH in SoCal.

4. Hymn by Kesha

Bless Kesha for giving us slap after slap on her new album. This song, in particular, is great for friend filled car rides on late night adventures. Roll down the windows, throw up your hands, and make memories with whoever is joining you on your road trip.

5. A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton

If Terry Crews can jam along to this song, so can you. This is a classic! It will 100% have you and your friends laughing as you try to mimic Carlton's pitch and recreate the scene from White Chicks. Trust me, you want this song on your playlist.

You may be questioning my selection process at the moment, but you shouldn't be. Give these songs a listen while you're out on a drive and you will realize that they make any trip so much better. Just imagine blasting them on the radio and hearing all of your friends singing along with you on your next road trip. It will be B-E-A-U-TIFUL.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
