We’ve all had one of those weeks. You know, those weeks where you have a midterm, are going through a rough patch with a significant other, or just nothing is going your way. I know all you want to do is sleep until you forget your sorrows.

But, the good news is that there are songs to lift up your spirits. Some of these might be old, some of these might be new, but one thing is for sure, these are definitely jam-worthy.

1. Unwritten – Natasha Bedingfield

Now I know this song will bring up memories of you belting it out with your friends back in the day. Turns out, this is still a song you can belt out either alone or with others to lift up your spirits a bit.

2. Mr. Brightside – The Killers

This is a song that none of us remember practicing but somehow, we all know every lyric to it. Regardless, you will feel better after singing your heart out to it.

3. Big Girls Don’t Cry – Fergie

Now you might actually cry to this song. But that’s okay because once you’re done singing and crying you will feel so much better you won’t even remember what upset you in the first place

4. F*ck you – Lily Allen

Now hear me out on this one, when you are angry but also need to get stuff done, this is the perfect song to have playing in the background. So, continue washing your dishes and folding your laundry; just because you’re having a bad week doesn’t mean you can’t still be productive.

5. Flawless – Beyonce

Sometimes you just need to remind yourself that you are great, and this is the perfect song to get ready to, get dressed to, and remind yourself that you got this.

We all have bad days or even bad weeks but these days are only temporary. In the meantime, turn up the tunes and we will all get through this together.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
