Valentine's Day tends to get pretty expensive, especially with having a significant other. A day of love turns into a day of expensive activities, dinners and gifts. But who doesn't enjoy some unlimited movies on Netflix for only eight bucks a month? Just in time for the most romantic day of the year, I asked some friends what their favorite romance movies are, and this is what they said:
1. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
"Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson are such a good duo. They're also not bad to look at. Their characters, Ben and Andie, both have bets to find someone and to fall in love with a girl (Ben) and to lose a guy (Andie) in ten days. They end up meeting, and let's just say that a sticky situation occurs. It's just so good that I'm quoting myself. Oops."
2. Stuck in Love
"I like that it puts a twist on your typical romance. It's about a family of writers, which is really cute. I cry every time. It's really real; it talks about addiction and divorce and real life problems. 10/10 would recommend. Oh, and how can you not love Rusty?" - Nicole
3. High School Musical
"High School Musical is the best because you can sing along, cry and relive your childhood all in under two hours. Troy and Gabriella are meant 2 B. And they're the OG #relationshipgoals" - Virginia
4. The Princess Bride
"Probably one of the funniest fairytales of all time. If a guy tried to save me like Westley tried to save the princess, then life would be great. Oh and who doesn't love Inigo Montoya's iconic line? 'Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.'" - Hannah
5. Step Up
"Naturally, being a dancer this movie is automatically attractive. It's so action packed with such a great storyline. Definitely not a typical, cliche romance. And it has Channing Tatum. I don't have to say anymore." - Alex
We can't forget Twilight, Love Actually, Begin Again...the list goes on and on. Save some money and be entertained this Valentine's Day with one (or two or three...) of these great romances!
