Disney World has to be one of the most magical places on this earth. In fact, it is usually dubbed the happiest place on earth. That is true, and out of all the times I have been to Disney, I would have to say I was always very excited and happy. I was mostly happy because my whole family was there with me. What I find very strange is that people get married at this famous amusement park all the time. I think people should not get married at Disney World. Here are five reasons on why you should not get married at this theme park:
Reason 1: It is very tacky
Okay, arriving in a carriage that Cinderella uses is very tacky. The whole getting married in Cinderella's castle is tacky. Marrying your fiance at an amusement park, no matter how magical the park is, is plain cheap. Sorry, it just is.
Reason 2: It will be very expensive
Hope I do not burst anyone's dream of having a Disney wedding, but it is very expensive. I mean, when you go to Disney World with your family, you are looking at maybe a couple hundred to a few thousand dollars for the whole trip. Don't forget that you have to pay Disney to have the wedding and the reception. What about your guests? Are you going to pay for their trip to Florida, and where exactly will they stay? Good luck having your guests come to the wedding and being broke.
Reason 3: It will not be a private affair
Weddings are supposed to be an intimate affair where strangers are not welcomed. They are made for just friends and family. So, if you want your wedding to be private, then I would suggest you and your soon-to-be spouse not get married at Disney.
Reason 4: It will be overcrowded
Disney in general is always crowded. I suggest that you go somewhere where there are no crowds. This way, you and your fiancé may enjoy this special day.
Reason 5: It is not original
A Disney wedding is not original at all, many people dream to have a Disney wedding. When the bride and groom plan their wedding, they should not be borrowing ideas. The couple should simply sit down, voice their likes and dislikes, and go from there to pick an original idea for their wedding.
I am not hating on Disney by any means; I love Disney with all my heart. I simply think people should look elsewhere for a wedding venue, preferably in your home state, where all your friends and family can join in celebrating your wedding. Also, if you pick another venue, odds are it will be intimate and private with just your family around, and it will not be crowded what-so-ever. So think carefully when it comes to wedding planning.
