Love Your Melon

Love Your Melon is a company founded by two college students in Minnesota. They originally started out by only making 400 products, and now, almost four years later, over 45,000 hats have been donated to children with cancer. The company works to help children, their families, and cancer research. Love Your Melon brings so much happiness to children and families all over the country, and has affected so many people. Here are five reasons why you should buy Love Your Melon products:

1. One hat bought is equal to one hat for a child with cancer

Whether it's a baseball cap or a beanie, one hat purchased means that one hat is donated to a child with cancer. The mission of Love Your Melon is to get a hat on to head of every child with cancer in the United States.

2. The more products you buy for your school, the more opportunities your campus crew has to visit patients

The number of products sold through a school by a campus crew is equal to points. As your school earns more points, the more opportunities your crew has to visit patients or host events.

3. They're made in America

All Love Your Melon products are made in America and are of good quality!

4. Half of the net proceeds are donated to cancer research.

For products sold that are not baseball caps or beanies, children with cancer are still benefitting. Half of the net proceeds are donated to cancer research, bringing us closer to finding a cute.

5. Their apparel is so cute

Baseball caps, tank tops, long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, beanies, and koozies. Even though it may seem expensive, $30 for a beanie is really $15 for your hat and $15 for the hat of a child with cancer. All of these products are so cute, and it's a great way to support Love Your Melon and your campus crews!

Love Your Melon is a great way to support children who have cancer, their families, and everyone affected. The company spreads awareness and is contributing so much to patients nationwide. By buying just one product, we are getting one step closer to a world without cancer!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
