5 Reason To Get Out And Vote

As many of you know, this election year is quite crazy between our two main options Donald J. Trump and Hillary Clinton. There are a lot of people who hate both, won't vote, or there are the people who say never Trump so I'm going to go vote for Clinton and vise versa. Well, good news for the people who dislike both of them you can vote for the third party libertarian Gary Johnson! Before you decide not to vote though lets go over some reasons why you should go out and vote.

1. Let your voice be heard

No matter how discouraged you feel that your voice isn't being heard and that your vote doesn't count, it does. Who knows your one vote could make the difference.

2. Vote for who you believe in

Vote for the candidate that you believe will make a difference, but vote based on research. Do not based off your opinion and what you see on social media or the regular media. Simply do your research and based off the beliefs that the candidates you researched have vote for what you believe in.

3. You have options

So you don't like Donald Trump? That's fine because you have two other options, between Hillary Clinton or Gary Johnson. If you want to make a difference in our country and have your voice be heard on government and political issues, get out and vote for them! Don't sit at home because you think that there is no point of voting and your voice won't be heard because it's the farthest thing from true.

4. Voting honors U.S. history

Ever since the very first president, George Washington entered office, voting has been a huge part of this country. After so many years, everyone who is a legal citizen of the United States is able to vote and make a difference. If you are proud to live in the 'land of the free, and home of the brave' than go vote to make a difference!

5. Our future depends on you!

The future of the United States is always changing. Do you want to see change? Than go out and vote because our future and our kids future and their kids future could completely change just based on who we vote for in this 2016 Presidential Election!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
