We are finally approaching the fall season, and with that comes so many opportunities to make memories, whether that be with friends or family. Personally, I have tons of things I want to do this season, so I thought I would share some ideas with you. Here are the top 5 places you need to visit this fall.

1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch

This is definitely one of the top things you should have on your list this fall, because nothing screams fall like pumpkins! Whether its for carving jack-o-lanterns, for cooking, or simply just for decorating, having some pumpkins in your presence is a definite must! While you're at it, maybe even take a hay ride through the fields, a memory you won't forget.

2. Visit the Mountains

This is one of my personal favorites. The mountains are such a beautiful place to visit during the cooler months of fall, because you can enjoy a hike or a picnic without getting too hot and sweaty, while also getting to take in all the changing colors of the leaves. The view from the top will certainly be breathtaking. Some other great ideas for mountain trips are riding horseback through the mountain trail, or renting a cabin for a few nights with friends or family.

3. Visit the City

When you are done visiting the rural area of the mountains, be sure to visit the nearest cities to you. I absolutely love taking strolls through downtown, checking out all the local shops, and bringing home some fall goods. When the holidays start getting closer, this is a definite must because of all the decorations you will see among the store fronts and walkways.

4. Visit your Local Book Store

There's nothing like cuddling up and reading some good books when it's too cold to do anything outside. Visit your local book stores, grab a cup of coffee, and get lost in another world for a few hours. Pick up something with a darker tone, like fantasy or mystery, rather than the cute love stories you were reading back in the summer. Or, pick up a series with several books, so you are sure to be occupied for the whole season.

5. Visit a Haunted Attraction

When you get tired of binge watching all of those scary movies at home, get out and find something even more scary to do. Visit a haunted trail, or theme park that has turned scary for the month of October. While this isn't my cup of tea, it's surely a top idea for the fall season.

With fall right around the corner, you should already be making plans for what you are going to do to enjoy it. There may be other things not mentioned on this list that are equally as fun! Make sure to get out of the house this fall and make some memories with the ones you love!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
