College breaks are a time to explore, relax and bask in the rays of new opportunities. I recently saw a movie about the National Parks and was inspired to share my thoughts on all of the amazing places to visit and adventure through while on spring break, or any other break.
1. Channel Islands National Park, California
Crazy blue water, a million great hikes and so much to explore (above and below the water) you will definitely not be bored. Especially if you like to snorkel or scuba dive!
2. Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
3. Arcadia National Park, Maine
Ocean, mountains and hikes, oh my! Arcadia National Park is home to the tallest peak on the Atlantic coast and also boasts a 130-mile hiking trail, what more could you ask for?
4. Olympic National Park, Washington
I may be biased, but I don't think there is any state that beats Washington, and if you have never visited the upper-left USA, the sweeping views and towering trees surely live up to WA's "Evergreen State" title.
5. Haleakala National Park, Maui, HI
Watching the sunrise over the crater is like nothing you have ever experienced, or will experience again. And on your way back down from the twisty road you can stop and get breakfast before returning to all of the other amazing adventures Maui has to offer.
