Is going out to parties not your thing? Do you need a break from going out? Then this is for you! We all have those weekends where we just need to relax and do something different so if you need some ideas of what to do on your days off from class, keep on reading!

1. Go Bowling

Most universities have a bowling ally nearby and it is definitely a good idea to take advantage of it. Bowling may not seem like the most exciting pass time but I think it is way underrated. Grab some friends and play a couple games together, you do not have to be good!

2. Have A Movie Night At Home

Sometimes after a long and stressful week, all you want to do is lay on the couch and do nothing. If so, this is the perfect option. Make some snacks and watch a few movies to unwind. Plus, you do not have to spend any extra money on this one!

3. Go Out To Eat With Friends

If you are feeling like getting out of the house and maybe even want to get a little dressed up, find a restaurant that you have never been to and try it out! It is always fun to find a new dinner spot and enjoy good food with your buddies. If you aren’t up for a whole meal, trying out a new coffee shop is also a great idea and a more casual setting.

4. Be A Designated Driver

This may not be the most exciting weekend activity, but somebody has to do it. Keeping your friends and others safe is rewarding and you could even make a little extra cash for doing it as well. Some universities even have a system called “beepers” that you could look into.

5. Have A Craft Night

It is time to put Pinterest to good use! Hit up the craft store to find your supplies or make use of things you already have at home if you are really up for a challenge. Spend the night recreating DIY crafts that you have found online or creating your own masterpieces.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
