Graduating early can be a tough process to handle with all the tests and classes you have to take. Sometimes, you question your decision, but you know that it will all be worth it in the end. Whether you're in high school or in college, these are five things you are bound to encounter.
1. A hefty schedule
My schedule is PACKED, and when I tell you packed, it's like do or die--that’s how my senior year is going. The only thing that’s bad about the heavy load is I can’t have those easy electives that I don’t need to pass for my last year. Instead, I have eight periods of subjects that I NEED to graduate.
2. The combination of SAT, ACT and college apps
If you're like me and find out you’re graduating at the end of August, you’ve got a lot of things coming for you. SATs, ACTs and college applications within three months (yay) whereas most of the deadlines for college apps are in December.
3. Constantly asking yourself, "what’s free time?"
Going out and having a good old time with my friends is off my list of things to do. With all the stuff that's on my plate, I don’t think I have any free time whatsoever. Sometimes, I get invited out, but I have to often choose between my friends and school work.
4. The forever all-nighters.
I’ve come to the point where I know that an early night sleep won't be a thing for me. I'm up late at night with piles of homework to do. Whether it be an essay, project or just some studying, a good night’s sleep is far far away.
5. No new friends.
Drake said, “no new friends,” but it's more like, "need new friends." Being a last minute senior and not knowing anyone in the senior class is a bummer; senior class trips may be the death of me! Sometimes, you feel left out of things, but, maybe by the end of this year, things will be different.
