1. SNF
A country-wide celebration in its own right, Sunday Night Football is always exciting, with all the teams playing all day, the tailgating, and the viewing parties. Football consumes Sundays for many and it's always a wild time.
2. Tailgating
The aroma of grilled food, the hyped-up fans, and the booming music are just a couple of my favorite things about tailgates. The environment is too exciting for anyone to be bored, and even if the team you're tailgating for is terrible, sometimes a good burger will heal the wounds.
3. Watching Your Favorite Teams Wreck
Rivalries thrive in football and honestly, it's awesome. Tell someone you're a Patriots fan, and they'll bring up everything from Deflate-gate and "Tom Brady sucks/is so cocky," or even when encountering Cowboys fans retorting with "Dez still caught it though." Despite the bitter undertones, all jests are mostly just for good fun. Everyone's loyalties really show the most on Sunday nights in the fall.
4. The Food
It's finger-food galore on Football Sundays (my favorite part besides the Patriots playing). This day includes a high variety of snacks and munchies like wings, pizza, chips with dips, and tacos and nachos. You'll definitely leave a football watching party consuming enough calories to last you a week, but it's kinda worth it because they're all delicious.
5. The Actual Game
What we're all really here for: the game. Seeing our teams play those games, close or blowouts, give us goosebumps. Those long yard gains, the blitzes, and those tackles leave us cheering and hooting almost every time. There's almost never a boring game and man, that's a huge relief.
