Sometimes the best movies go unnoticed.

With the number of movies released every year, it is impossible to see them all. This means that a lot of good movies pass us by, and the bad ones get our time and money. Here are five great movies that you may not have seen.

5. "Blue Ruin"

Have you ever wondered what a realistic "Taken" movie would look like? Well, here it is. Director Jeremy Saulnier’s "Blue Ruin" is a story about a man seeking revenge on the person who murdered his parents. However, the protagonist in this film is not an unstoppable killing machine. He’s just a normal person who’s in over his head. "Blue Ruin" can be viewed on Netflix.

4. "Super"

Lately, Hollywood has bombarded audiences with superhero movies. People may know the director James Gunn from his film "Guardians of the Galaxy." But "Super" is not a family-friendly superhero action thriller. "Super" is a dark comedy film about a man who believes that he is destined to become a superhero. The sense of humor in the film will not appeal to everybody, and "Super" is not for the faint-of-heart. Those who are tired of traditional Marvel and DC blockbusters may enjoy this film. "Super" can be viewed on Netflix.

3. "What We Do in the Shadows"

There are a lot of horror comedy films, and the majority of them are not very good. "What We Do in the Shadows" is an exception. This movie is a phony documentary that follows four vampires living in modern-day New Zealand. Full of quotable lines and memorable scenes, "What We Do in the Shadows" will appeal to horror and comedy fans alike. "What We Do in the Shadows" can be viewed on HBO Go.

2. "The Witch"

"The Witch" is a horror movie that saw a wide theatrical release, but went almost unnoticed by audience. This could be because it released at the same time as Marvel’s extremely popular "Deadpool," or because "The Witch" is a noticeably slower movie than most big-budget horror films. "The Witch" takes its time to get going, and does not try to make you jump out of your seat. What "The Witch" does have is a creepy atmosphere and interesting setting. "The Witch" is a love-it or hate-it kind of movie, but any fan of horror should give it a shot, because they might find their new favorite film.

1. "Nebraska"

‘"Nebraska" is a comedy-drama film about an elderly man who believes he has won a million dollars, and makes his son take him to claim his reward. Over the course of the movie, the protagonist (played by Will Forte) learns about his father’s past. "Nebraska" won’t have you rolling on the floor laughing, but the story is enough to keep the audience invested.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
