5. 'Mario and Sonic at the 2018 Olympic Games'
I know this is a huge stretch since the 2018 Winter Olympic games are next month, but since the 2008 Beijing games, Nintendo has released a game every 2 years with mini games replicating the Olympic games of that year. As an avid video game fan and sports fan, these titles were the perfect mix of virtual sport for me. And with the motion controls of the Switch being much better than the original Wii, this would a be a great addition to the Switch.
4. 'Grand Theft Auto V'
Ever since finishing L.A. Noire for the Switch, I have seen numerous posts about bringing Rockstar’s most popular game, GTA V, to the Switch. Although I love this concept as GTA V is a fantastic and fun game to play, for me this would only work if Nintendo gets around to having a strong and much better working multiplayer like Microsoft and Sony do for their consoles. The GTA V campaign is enjoyable on its own, but the reason it is still such a widely popular game is the game’s incredible multiplayer. Once Nintendo figures that out, a Grand Theft Auto title would be incredibly successful.
3. 'Super Smash Bros'
The Super Smash Bros series is in my opinion, at the core of what makes Nintendo games so great. Nintendo is unique from its competitors with such a wide range of characters on its roster, which is why Super Smash Bros has been successful whether fans are new or old. The latest title in the series which was released in 2014 is still widely popular today (although personally Brawl will always be my favorite,) so why not release a new title on their hugely successful console?
2. A Remastered 'Legend of Zelda' Game
Although the Switch already has arguably the best Zelda game on its console, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, I would love to see a remastered Link to the Past or Majora’s Mask on the Switch. Although for the time being I am more than happy with the Zelda game available and I can’t wait for Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition which comes out this Spring.
1. 'Fallout: New Vegas' or 'Fallout 4'
Either of these entries would make me ecstatic. Ever since they announced Skyrim on the Switch I have been eagerly waiting for the Fallout announcement. People have been begging for a remastered New Vegas title for years, so remastering it on the Switch is guaranteed to sell countless copies. Although I must say, since Super Mario Odyssey came out, I have been on my toes about a Switch game that takes over my life, and if they release one of these titles that will definitely be the case.
What games do you hope are released on the Switch this year?
