I come from a very big family, and since I come from a very big family, we make a lot of food. So much food, there's maybe 4 tables of food, not including the deserts. Some foods you will find at my family's table during the holidays include, but are not limited to:
1. Meat: Turkey, Ham, or Chicken
At Thanksgiving, we have turkey, but there's also fried chicken from a local deli for the little kids or anyone who would like some. My Granddad makes a ham at Christmas, or we have Primerib, all wonderfully cooked.
2. Dressing
I don't know about you, but I can eat my body weight in cornbread dressing, along with a few other sides, and this is one of the other things my Grandfather also makes.
3. Macaroni and cheese
THE STAR. Mac and cheese is so much better than everything else. Just kidding (not really). I really love macaroni and cheese.
4. Mashed Potatoes
Mashed potatoes were the first thing I learned to look, granted it was instant potatoes, but I love mashed potatoes. Anytime my family makes any kind of potatoes, I prefer mashed potatoes over any kind.
5. Coconut Cake
One Thanksgiving, the coconut cake slid, and my elbow landed in it, so we had a mushed coconut cake. There, I contributed to family Thanksgiving. It was a big laugh, but I didn't necessarily find it funny at the time because I thought I ruined the cake.
