When you think of the holidays, one of the things that comes to mind might be Christmas cookies. While cookies are a fun treat to make and decorate, there are a ton of other sweets to make around the holidays! Here are five treats that are perfect to make for your Christmas gatherings. All of these sweets are very simple to make and require very little to no actual baking whatsoever.

1. Buckeyes

If you love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, then you will be obsessed with this sweet treat. These peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate are heavenly and hard to stop eating!

2. Red Velvet Cake Balls

Red velvet cake plus cream cheese plus white chocolate equals heaven! This simple recipe is delicious and way better than the cake pops from Starbucks.

3. Christmas Crack

You have probably been given chunks of this during the holidays a few times before. Saltine crackers with chocolate and caramel melted on top! The name pretty much says it all as far as how addictive this stuff can be.

4. Monkey Munch

Also know by the name “puppy chow,” this is one of my personal favorite things to make all year round! Rice Chex cereal with a peanut butter and chocolate glaze and topped with powdered sugar will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth!

5. Chocolate Pretzel Bites

Now this has got to be the easiest and still equally delicious deserts on this list. All you have to do is lay out your favorite type of pretzel, place a Hersey’s Hugs on top and then place in the oven until the chocolate melts just a bit. Then pop a M&M on top of that!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
