With millions of people being cooped up indoors all day, it's only natural that everyone's growing a little stir-crazy. Luckily, there are many ways to take your mind off the hectic events in life by focusing on the little things. A rejuvenating do-it-yourself beauty treatment managed from the comfort of your own living room, for instance, is a great way to spruce up your look without exposing yourself to the outside world.

Here are 5 must-try DIY beauty treatments you can manage from home.

  • Try a homemade facemask

One of the easiest and most rejuvenating beauty treatments you can enjoy from home is a homemade facemask to ensure your skin remains vibrant despite the time you're spending indoors. Learning about DIY facemask is easy, fun, and very affordable - indeed, many recipes can be managed without even having to go shopping ahead of time. Irritation and redness of the skin is inevitable in modern life, but these facemask techniques will keep you looking stellar no matter what.

  • Get some time in the sun

Another great way to improve your look is to get some time in the sun from home. If you have a backyard, balcony, or similar area where you can expose yourself to some UV rays, why not pursue a stunning tan that will make you the envy of everyone you know when lockdown ends? Local tanning options are great, but you can also manage to do this yourself with a healthy application of sunscreen, a regular shifting of positions, and by choosing your tanning times wisely to avoid overexposure to the sun.

  • Get rid of your puffy eyes

Are you sick and tired of dealing with swollen, puffy eyes that make you look like something out of a horror movie? A number of DIY at-home remedies can be relied upon to ensure your eyelids are looking great in no time. Applying a cold-press or even some caffeinated tea bags to your eyes will help reduce puffiness from crying if you've been having a tough go of things recently.

  • Treat yourself to a pedicure

Almost nothing can beat the relaxation of a good pedicure, but with so many businesses closed right now you likely have to rely upon your own skills when it comes to maintaining your feet. Learning about how to do a pedicure at home requires investing in some good tools, but know that affordable options are available if you shop wisely. Soaking your feet beforehand and oiling them after the fact is highly recommended to ensure the health of your skin.

  • Help your scalp with a hair mask
The hot, dry sun of the Summer can wreak havoc upon your hair. That's why helping your scalp with a hair mask is a great DIY beauty option for this season. Know that those with oily hair may need special products, and that damaged hair which has seen too much sun needs to be treated with particular care. Before long, you'll emerge at the end of the summer with some gorgeous locks to show off.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
