I am happy to admit that I am a Disney adult. I grew up on Disney movies like most children, and grew up on the beliefs and morals that were shown. Now I realize that some of these have significant meanings to me even now!
1. "Venture outside your comfort zone. The rewards are worth it." --Rapunzel (Tangled)
I believe that people are so comfortable with what they are familiar with, that they are afraid of what is outside of that. I understand it is completely scary. I also know that once you step outside of that comfortable bubble you lock yourself in, there are so many other things and adventures that are waiting for you that could make you a better person overall.
2. "Your identity is your most valuable possession. Protect it." -- Elastigirl (The Incredibles)
In todays society I believe that being your true self is one of the hardest things to accomplish. Being your true self is a rarity.
3."Remember, you're the one who can fill the world with sunshine." -- Snow White (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves)
I have learned the hard way that you can't depend on anyone but yourself for your own happiness. As my mom always says you bring your own weather to the picnic, you are the only one that can make yourself happy
4. "If you focus on what you left behind, you will never be able to see what lies ahead." -- Gusteau (Ratatouille)
Plain and Simple. If you focus on the past, you'll miss what is waiting for you in the future.
5. "Just Keep Swimming."--Dory (Finding Nemo)
Finding Nemo and Finding Dory are my favorite movies. I know there are a lot of lessons and morals involved in both of these movies. This one is the best. No matter what you do and no matter how much things get you down, the only thing you want to do is to just keep swimming. Push through and you'll see calm waters on the other side.
