5 Critical Signs Millennials Actually ARE Ruining America,

A Millennial's take on our own generation.

I am a millennial, so no, I obviously didn't live in the 20s-50s but that doesn't mean you or I can't speculate from stories and history how it was like. This is my take on what is going down hill with our generation and those that follow.

1. Music

What ever happened to heartfelt meaningful music that hit you in the heart and gave you goosebumps. Now we have this "music" that sounds like mumbling and they all sound the same. What happened to talent like Dean Martin, Stevie Wonder, Steven Tyler, or Mick Jagger now we have to put up with Drake, Lil Uzi, Lil Yachty, Justin Bieber, and Demi Lovato...

2. Standing up for yourself

We are such pushovers now, we are procrastinators, and we are lazy. What happened for fighting for the things we believed in? When we didn't like what someone said we confronted them, we didn't sit behind a screen using words we looked up through Google. When our freedoms were taken away we fought it even when there was no end in sight. Our grandparents didn't just sit idle by, they got off their ass and did something about it.

3. Complain and moan

This goes hand in hand with number 2, but where along the line did we think that complaining would fix it? Why in the world do people get so frustrated that they quit then go cry in a corner, it won't fix anything. It is time that we learn that nothing can be fixed by doing nothing. If something in your life changes for the worse and you can't fix it, then adapt and MOVE ON!

4. Schooling

I get it, schooling hasn't changed in over a hundred years, what is there to complain about? Oh yeah, because it HASN'T CHANGED IN OVER A HUNDRED YEARS! Like seriously, why are we still teaching children in the way we do? They are not robots, assembly lines run by humans are dead. So why do we still run schools like we are preparing them to work at the Ford assembly line to get the Model T out the door?

5. Patriotism

There used to be pride in everything that we did. We used to make everything we bought. There used to be flags on every street in neighborhoods. We used to honor those who served. And we definitely didn't back down from a fight. America, get your balls back from China, Russia, and the U.N. and take your eyes off Iraq, N. Korea, and Israel. If someone has a problem with the way we do things they can come to us like a big kid. It is time that we restore patriotism in the eyes of the new generation in this great nation.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
