Holidays are always the happiest days for families and friends to spend time together, and eat delicious meals. There is nothing better than coming home for great food, great company and a great time for any holiday.
1. Home cooked meals.
Everyone is tired of that gross cafeteria food when they're away at school, am I right? School food is nothing compared to your mom's homemade spaghetti and meatballs, or your grandma's apple pie!
2. Spending time with family and friends.
We all can admit that at some point in time, we miss our family and hometown friends when we are away at school. The holidays are great for catching up and seeing the people who care about you most.
3. Bringing back leftovers.
You never appreciate a doggy bag more than when you're in college! Bringing back homemade meals is always a plus.
4. Sleeping in your own bed.
After a long drive back from school and countless nights sleeping in a dorm with your roommate, it is so nice to be back in your own bed and have time to yourself (even though you miss your roommate like crazy after one night!).
5. All of your friends are home at the same time
Every college gets out for the same holidays, so all of your high school friends come home and you get to share your wild college stories with them.
Holidays always seem stressful for people, rushing around buying gifts or spending hours in the kitchen cooking meals, but in the end, it's the laughter and love that fills the room when everyone sits down for dinner that are remembered and cherished forever.
