During my time in college, I have found several different types of apps that make my life as a busy college kid so much easier! From food apps to Google Slides, here are a couple of apps you need to download before you go to college.

1. Uber/Lyft

If you don't have a car on campus or the place you want to visit costs money to park your car, I have found that Uber and Lyft are both amazing apps that will literally save your soul and your money. For me, Butler University is close to downtown Indianapolis and I have my car on campus, but I tend to use Lyft or Uber whenever I go downtown since parking downtown is typically $20 no matter where you park and ordering an Uber is typically cheaper.

2. Uber Eats/Postmates

Most colleges give students a google account through the school and I have found that during those busy times, having every Google app will save your life when it comes to group projects and papers. You can write your papers on the go or work on that slideshow for your final presentation with your group if you can't meet them. It comes in handy especially if you're in a sport and are constantly leaving campus for games and meets!

5. Spotify

Every college student uses Spotify for their music and, guess what!? There's a college student discount for it! Spotify offers a Hulu subscription AND a Spotify Premium subscription for only $4.99 a month for both!! Plus, if you are in a club and you throw an event, most students use Spotify because you can collaborate on a playlist for music. It's truly a lifesaver!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
