2017 has undoubtedly been one of the best years for musical releases. From Migos' Culture to Kehlani's SweetSexySavage to Big Sean's I Decided, these albums and various other popular music releases have been euphoria to the ears of millions of people and contribute to our daily music rotation.

As a music lover, I want to share my personal 2017 faves, so far, as well as how you can add these to your music rotation. You're welcome!

#5: A$AP MOB x Cozy Tapes Vol. 2

From start to finish, Cozy Tapes Vol. 2 is honestly straight FLAMES!!! I personally think that Vol. 2 is sonically better than Vol. 1, only because Vol. 1 had a couple of songs that I enjoyed, but with Vol. 2? Every single song had me driving 10-20 miles over the speed limit without my knowledge.

OK, MAYBE I'm exaggerating, but you know we've all been there when our favorite song is jamming! Featuring artists such as Big Sean, Lil Yachty, Schoolboy Q, Frank Ocean, Quavo, and many more, my favorite songs off this album are: Bahamas, Frat Rules, Feels So Good, and Raf.

#4: Che Ecru x Buries

This album was a personal recommendation from a friend in music by way of New York, but I would have to say this is one of the best recommendations he has sent me. Che Ecru, a producer/singer/songwriter/rapper/and DJ from Boston MA, showed up and showed out on this eight-track EP.

Throughout the project, you can hear the symphony of trap beats included in some sultry R&B beats, creating a relaxing, chill vibe. My favorite songs off this project are: Lonely, 2AM, Luckily, which includes an island trap R&B feel, Play, and You. Really the whole project is great, but these are my top 5 songs from this project!

#3: Sabrina Claudio x Confidently Lost

I was first introduced to Sabrina Claudio via Soundcloud. I fell in love with her amazing, sultry vocals that could honestly put you in a musical daze. As stated in the title of her album, this project displays Claudio's feelings towards confidently being lost in life and finding herself, as well as giving notice to the subject of clarifying a situation with a significant other or enjoying their company.

Numerous messages are displayed throughout this album, but in unison, you can hear the amazing vocals, as well as the great production, acoustics, and instruments to keep your head moving and your body swaying. My favorite songs off this album? EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. This project only has seven tracks, but each track is gold, in my opinion, and I highly recommend putting this in your rotation, if you're looking for some new vibe music to listen to

#2: ELHAE x Aura II

Atlanta native, ELHAE, is one of my favorite modern R&B artists. Released on April 14, 2017, this 10 song project starts out with my favorite song, Something, a song that speaks on ELHAE feeling "something" for the girl that he's with, but he can't put his finger on what it is. Is it love? Lust? Admiration? In this three minute track, you'll find yourself nodding your head, singing along, and enjoying the vibe that comes off of this song, as well as the project.

Featuring artists such as Ty Dolla $ign, Rockie Fresh, and Eric Bellinger, Aura II is one of my top 2017 faves because of the difference in R&B that I hear in ELHAE's project, as well as the amazing vocals to match the production. Everything about this project sounds fluid, in my opinion. My other favorites off this album are Bang Your Line (Featuring Ty Dolla $ign) and the Blue (Interlude).

#1: GoldLink x At What Cost

Released on March 27th, 2017, D.C. native, GoldLink released one of the best projects of 2017. GoldLink was rapidly growing in the music industry, but after the release of his popular hit, "Crew", featuring DMV natives Shy Glizzy and Brent Faiyaz, Goldlink BLEW UP and so did his album! Featuring artists such as Jasmine Sullivan, Steve Lacy, KAYTRANADA, and April George, At What Cost is a beautifully crafted album, sonically and lyrically, due to its relation to Goldlink's D.C. upbringing and how it has molded him into the artist and man that he is today. I personally went to high school in Virginia with GoldLink. Though we were never friends, I always knew he was talented due to the buzz that always went on about him and his skills. My favorite songs off this album are CREW, of course, Herside Story, We Will Never Die, and Pray Everyday (Survivor's Guilt).

I hope these recommendations have been helpful to your music rotation, but with the upcoming releases to finish this year off right... I'll definitely be back for another recap!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
