42 Thoughts While Shopping On Black Friday

'Tis the season for holiday shopping! Black Friday marks the beginning of the crazy and hectic malls that we all dread. Between overly aggressive people, sales, and the rude store workers, shopping on this day can be a nightmare. Here are a few thoughts I'm sure run through your head at some point while experiencing the mall on Black Friday:

1. Should I even go to sleep if I’m going to mall at 3 a.m.?

2. A little nap can’t hurt nobody.

3. I’ll definitely set an alarm.

4. *Misses alarm*

5. This is so cool going to the mall this early.

6. I’m going to buy Christmas presents for everyone today.

7. Everything is going to be so cheap.

8. Blasts “Sorry” while in the car.

9. Why is there no parking?

10. Why is there a line to get in the mall?

11. Definitely hitting the department stores first.

12. * Gets run over by an overly aggressive mom *

13. Why are there only sales on kitchen appliances? I don’t need a blender.

14. Time for the next store.

15. Why does Urban Outfitters consider $5 off a cotton tee a sale?

16. Whatever, it’s cute, I’ll buy it.

17. Wait I’m here for Christmas presents.

18. Time to focus.

19. What would my sister want?

20. Ooooh 50 percent off? She’ll be getting something from this store.

21. Okay one down, five to go.

22. I’m starting to get tired.

23. Why is everyone shoving people?

24. Wait, I need to snapchat these women fighting over boots.

25. While I'm at it, I'll snapchat how many people are in the mall

26. Where are all the good sales?

27. That pumpkin pie last night was too good.

28. Why don't Justin Bieber concert tickets go on sale today?

29. All right, all right I need to focus.

30. What do you mean regular store coupons don’t work on Black Friday?

31. I think I’m still too broke for this.

32. Why do people find this fun?

33. All the stores are disorganized.

34. Ugh, I can’t find anything!

35. Wow, these workers are not in the holiday spirit.

36. I’m stressed.

37. On a side note, the Christmas decorations look great

38. OMG, I need a picture with Santa!

39. Buy five get one free isn’t even a sale?

40. I guess Mom and Dad are only getting my love for Christmas.

41. I'm never doing this again.

42. Can't wait for Cyber Monday!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
