40 Things You Say While Moving
The Odyssey

In my past four years at Lander University I have had now three different appartment but every time, I remain just as unorganized and unprepared. This time was hard, I've live in my last apartment for two years and it has seen a lot. Boyfriends come and go, a meet up spot before formals and a place for people to come and just vent all their problem. But that chapter is coming to a close.

It's the end of the semester and it's time to go home for the summer or move into your very own apartment. I promise you that you will think at least one, if not all, of my 40 top quotes from moving... with the help of the Park and Rec cast.

1. "What the heck?..."

2. "Where did all this stuff come from?"

3. "Did my cat get out?"

4. "Yeah, she's out... just roaming."

5. "Okay, I've loaded about 50 boxes.... how do I still have more to pack?"

6. "New rule, if I haven't touched it in 3 years I'm just throwing it away."

7. "How many clothes do I have?"

8. "Anything with tags still on is going to Goodwill."

9. "Except this.."

15. "Someone grab Chris" (My poster of Chris Pratt)

16. "I swear you drop him and I will end your life"

17. "How much is it to rent a van"

18."Scratch that, how much is it to hire movers"

19. "Does a plunger count as a house warming gift"

20. "If you know anyone who needs shampoo let me know"

22. "This is the stuff I never unpacked... I've lived here for 2.5 years"

23. "Why am I doing this to myself?"

24. "This is going to make me crazy"

25. "Nope, already crazy"

26. "Now my cat's in a wall"

27. "I might just leave her there for the next owners. jk... maybe.. no jk."

(PSA she is now happy and sleeping on my bed)

28. "I would do a lot more but the couch just attacked me in multiple ways and I'm in a lot of pain... but at least we got it out of the house"

29. "Why is UHAL so expensive"

30. "Will this couch fit in my car"

(I drive a Jeep Patriot)

31. "Alright, I guess we'll put it on top"

32. "I don't even have rope"

33. "Okay, we'll leave the couch on the car and run to Rite Aid"

34. "So many freaking cords"

35. "Maybe I am a hoarder"

36. "Lol, the first step is admitting you have a problem.."

37. "I wish I had a bigger car"

38. "Honestly, I'm just about to bride my friends with food or alcohol."

39. "Hey siri, what does a dislocated shoulder feel like?"

40. "This is actually really sad."

Thank you to all the people who helped me move out of old trappy. You are seriously appreciated and I'm so grateful that I could count on you. Here's to one more year here in Greenwood in a new place. Let's start making memories.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
