There are so many questions we ask our parents on a daily basis, and the list never stops. In all honesty, we ask our parents some of the weirdest questions on the planet. If you still call your mom every day after class, you'll probably relate to most of these:

1. Can you help me write an email to a professor without sounding rude?

2. Is my care package on its way yet?

3. Did you know that "Hocus Pocus" is getting a remake?!

4. How did you choose my first name?

5. Can you send me holiday leggings to wear with my work dress?

6. Can you order me some Thai food?

7. How long is the bus ride to the airport?

8. Where do I go for my suitcase?

9. Where should I board the dog?

10. What should I cook for dinner tonight?

11. Should I just order take-out?

12. How was that new movie you saw yesterday?

13. Can you help me improve my budget?

14. Why would my cable bill be higher than the last one?

15. Where did you get your flannel sheets?

16. What did you think of the new "Charlie Brown" movie?

17. Are you going to any of the holiday craft fairs this winter?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
