At one point or another, we've all been sucked into the deep, dark abyss that is YouTube. One minute you're looking up how to properly contour your face, and the next you're watching a twelve minute interview with the cast of One Tree Hill from seven years ago. YouTube is a beautiful platform full of diss tracks, how-to videos and behind the scenes looks at our favorite Netflix series.
So next time you're scrolling through YouTube looking for ways to occupy your time, check out these binge-worthy YouTuber channels.
1. Cody Ko
This former vine phenomenon has moved into the YouTube world ever since everyone's favorite app shut down. I usually don't get too much entertainment out of watching people talk to a camera, but this dude can make me laugh out loud just by the way he talks. His commentary videos, vlogs, podcasts and now music videos are genuinely hilarious. Not only are his videos funny, but he kills every tweet he puts out. A suitable way to sum Cody Ko up in a nutshell is by a comment I saw on one of his videos which read, "I used to think on Vine you were just playing a character, but now I realize that's really just you."
2. Jimmy Tatro
Jimmy Tatro is living every YouTuber's dream right now, starring in a Netflix series called American Vandal. Going back to his days at the University of Arizona, even his earliest frat videos made on campus will have you laughing out loud. His four episode YouTube series called The Real Bros of Simi Valleystarring Cody Ko, Nick Colletti and Getter is definitely worth checking out once you've finished watching The Real Housewives.
3. Molly Kate Kestner
Shifting from comedy to music channels, Kestner is most definitely worthy of a subscription. Her song Her Daughter , first posted three years ago on her channel, ended up floating around Facebook, which is where I discovered her. This girl is immensely talented, and has rightfully moved onto writing songs and recording records. Goosebumps and chills are guaranteed when you watch her videos.
4. Lauren Elizabeth
Lauren Elizabeth does not only make the list because she has the same first and middle name as me, but she makes it because her videos are entertaining and fun to watch. You can find anything from what's-in-my-bag videos to makeup routines that aren't the same-old, same-old we see everyday on the trending page.
The key to being successful on YouTube is not taking yourself too seriously and that is exactly what all of these four people are best at.
