Hummus. It's a funny word and and has an even stranger consistency. This middle eastern treat has been around for centuries and is made of primarily chickpeas. Other ingredients such as olive oil, garlic, and lemon are added to give it that extra kick. There are many different variations of hummus, some of which are roasted red pepper, jalapeño, spinach and artichoke, roasted garlic, etc. If your mouth isn't watering right about now, something must be wrong. As if this delicious dip isn't already versatile enough, here are so many exciting ways to eat it!

Put it on a wrap

Hummus goes with almost anything. It's true. Spread it on your wrap with some lettuce, chicken, avocados, or anything else you might want. The hummus will add flavor and tie together all of the different taste sensations.

Spread it on your eggs

This might seem strange, but give it a chance! Eggs can be bland sometimes, and ketchup definitely gets old after a while. Use a little or maybe a lot, either way your taste buds will thank you for it.

Dip it low with the veggies

It's possible that every single vegetable tastes incredible with hummus. Cucumbers, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, and avocados all taste divine with hummus. Celery, string beans, peppers, asparagus, and onions are heavenly with it. This option is definitely healthier and may even help you eat the veggies you normally wouldn't want to eat!

Dip it lower with the grains

This is everyone's guilty pleasure when it comes to hummus. Pretzels, pita, wheat thins, saltines, and crackers all are hummus' soul mates. This is perfect for a party or get together because it's low maintenance, easy to set up, and delicious. You can also toast some bread and dip it in the hummus for a combo that will make you keep eating miles after you passed being full.

Put it somewhere, spread it, or dip it. Eat the roasted red pepper or the spinach and artichoke. Do whatever you want with it! That's the beauty of hummus, the options and taste sensations are limitless.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
