Obama's time with us is ending pretty soon. A lot of people raise questions about what he has or hasn't done for America, but at the end of the day, he has done a lot of groundbreaking things during his term. Take a look at four notable presidential first-timers he claimed over the past eight years:

The first sitting president to visit Hiroshima

On August 6, 1945 ,the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. A few days later, the U.S. dropped another atomic bomb on Nagasaki. President Obama is the first sitting president to visit the site in Hiroshima since the bombing.

The first president since 1999 to visit an Indian Reservation

In 1851, the U.S. congress passed an act that allowed the creation of Indian reservations. There are about 326 Indian reservations in the U.S. Obama recently went to visit the Standing Rock Sioux Indian Reservation in North Dakota. This makes Obama the fourth sitting president to visit an Indian reservation.

The first president to use social media

It is said that social media helped Obama win the election. Not only that, but Obama is the first president to be surrounded by a social-media driven generation. 78 percent of the U.S. population is on social media. That's more than half — and what better way to reach Americans than what they use daily?

The first sitting president to visit a federal prison

According to the Prison Policy Initiative, there are about 2.3 million people in state prisons. Obama went to visit a federal prison in Oklahoma. His visit was aimed at changing how overcrowded and expensive the criminal justice system is.

Obama is the first president to do a lot of symbolic and important things during his time. It's almost crazy to think that Obama is the first president to visit Hiroshima since the attack. Lets hope the next president we vote for continues to do the same!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
