Music is such a versatile form of entertainment. It can be a way to express your emotions, it can improve any social outing, and it makes driving way more fun than it would ever be in silence. Like the music fanatic I am, I often associate my playlists with different seasons and times in my life. This fall I have been listening to the same 4 songs on repeat, and I think it's important that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the following bops to the same extent I have been. Without further ado, I present to you 4 songs you need to be listening to.
1. "Sit Next to Me" - Foster the People
This song has become a new favorite of mine. It was suggested to me by a friend and I have been listening to it on repeat ever since (so about a month now). It is a great song to pop on when walking to class or getting ready in the morning. Its got an electric beat and is so easy to jam to.
2. "NoLo" - Grace Mitchell
Also suggested to me by a friend, "NoLo" is the perfect song for any alternative indie lover. The unique tone of Grace Mitchell's voice and the fun instrumentals make this song a perfect way to stay upbeat while studying, or to play with friends while on the road.
3. "Violet" - Hippo Campus
"Violet" by indie rock band Hippo Campus never gets old. The raw vocals and the guitar instrumentals bring the whole song together. It has a summer-y vibe, so it only makes sense to listen to it as the weather gets colder. This song can be put on any playlist, ranging from a hang out to a workout.
4. "From the Dining Table" - Harry Styles
One of Harry's lesser-known songs on his debut album, "From the Dining Table" is a slow, acoustic song, perfect for any fall playlist. It's soft, slow sounds make it a great song to wind down to. The tone is warm and the simplicity of the music makes it feel like its being played live in your living room.
