September 22nd: the day that begins a wonderful season called Fall. The last three months of heat and 9 P.M. sunsets are officially over while the weather's getting colder and the days are getting longer. It’s finally time to break out the sweatshirts, scarves, and boots because fall is here and here’s why we’re loving it.
1. The leaves!
Everything around us is changing colors. How magical does the world seem when this happens? The bright green trees are slowly turning red, orange, and yellow. The trees are beginning to look like one splattered canvas.
2. The holidays!
This is just the tip of the holiday season. The minute October 1st comes along, the bats and pumpkins are out and everybody is Halloween ready. Whether you’re a younger kid who can’t wait to dress up and trick or treat, or you’re a young adult who can’t wait to dress up and party or you are an adult with a child who you can’t wait to dress up and take trick or treating, Halloween is a completely joyous holiday for everyone. Just one month later, there’s Thanksgiving. Just imagining leaving the house on Thanksgiving day fills me with joy. Stepping outside to feel the brisk air and seeing the colorful trees knowing you are about to eat your heart out; there’s nothing better.
3. The fashion!
It’s finally time to layer up, meaning double the fashion opportunities. Summer is hard to dress for. It will be hard to be comfortable in anything due to the unbearable heat most of the time. During the fall, however, you’re rarely going to be too hot or too cold, so it’s the perfect time to experiment with clothes. The weather is at that perfect period where you can be comfortable in a t-shirt, jeans, skirt, dress, sweatshirt, or just about anything. It’s a great time to take some fashions risks and try out what you thought would have been too hot for the summer and too cold for the winter.
4. The food!
More specifically, the desserts. October is Halloween month, aka the month of candy.Whether you went trick or treating, or you handed out candy, or you just stocked up for yourself, you're going to be finding fun-sized candies for the next three months. Not only that but one month later, it's Thanksgiving: the ultimate feast. The amount of food made for one family dinner is stretched into weeks of leftovers and has given many people multiple food comas. Fall has never let our stomachs down.
