It’s every 20 something year old’s dream: to travel the world. With apps like Groupon and travel companies like EF College Break, that dream has become a possibility — and at a decent rate. With EF College Break, you get to travel with other 18-28-year-olds and the best part about it is you don’t even need to be a college student. So if you’re graduating this year and you want to reward yourself with a summer vacation to the Greek islands, you can! Most trips with EF College Break include a full-time tour director, round trip flights, lodging, guided sightseeing, daily breakfast and transportation between cities. They also offer extra daily excursions such as seeing museums or other historic monuments for as low as $80. You can also add travel protection to your package in the case of delays, accidents or illnesses. It’s worth mentioning that the prices for these trips vary depending on which airport you fly out of and what time of year you go. Here are just some of your possibilities for 2017:

1. Ireland: $2,744 for nine days

This trip starts off in Dublin with a welcome mixer, as most EF College Break trips do. You’ll get to know the group you’ll be touring the country with better. Most EF College Break trips offer you a free day to take a break from the guided tours so that you can explore whatever you’d like. On this free day, you can check out the Titanic Belfast Museum for an extra $100. After three days in Dublin, you will travel to County Kerry to visit the Blarney Castle. The next day, you’ll drive around the Ring of Kerry and admire some incredible views of the peninsula. Your next stop is Galway and there are plenty of nightlife choices to explore. Then you’ll end up at the Aran Islands before your farewell three-course dinner (which most EF College Break trips include as well.) A lot of the trips for 2017 are filling fast, but if you wanted to go from September 23rd to October 1st, you could pay off your trip monthly at $350 or pay $2,599 in full.

2. Greece: $1,299 for eight days

Groupon and includes roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations with daily breakfast. You’ll stay in Athens for two nights, and Mykonos and Santorini for the remaining six. This one is at your own pace, there is no tour guide, but the transportation between islands is included. Groupon does not offer a monthly payment system.

3. Thailand: $1,099 for ten days

Groupon through Affordable Asia Tours and takes you to Bangkok, River Kwai, Ayutthaya, and Pattaya. You can fly out of L.A, San Francisco, Houston, New York, Seattle or Chicago. A total of 13 meals are included and an English speaking guide is provided. The itinerary, along with optional tours and upgrades to your package, are available on Groupon.

4. London and Paris: $2,849 for eight days

This trip is booked through EF College Break and starts off in London where you will see famous sights like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. For an extra cost on day four, you can also explore Oxford, otherwise known as Hogwarts. On the fifth day, you’ll take the Eurostar train to Paris and spend the evening on a cruise that floats past the Notre Dame Cathedral. At night, you’ll visit the Eiffel Tower and on your free day, you have the opportunity to see Versailles at an extra cost.

There are many more trips available to many more countries and islands on the EF College Break website and on Groupon. If none of these trips appeal to you, check out the other trip itineraries. If one of your New Year resolutions was to travel, consider putting a deposit down for a trip. Aside from making for good Instagram pictures, traveling opens your mind and allows you to experience parts of the world that until you visit, you’ve only seen on a map. It’s important that everyone takes time to travel in their lives and now is your time.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
