I recently went on vacation with my family to Chicago and coming from New York City I expected it to be some what similar to what I am lucky enough to see almost everyday. Even though the thought of going to the typical touristy spots might make some people cringe, these are some spots you just cannot miss when you visit the Windy City.
1. Wrigley Field
Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, is one of the oldest baseball stadium's still standing and still in use. It's much smaller than many other newer stadiums and gives you the feeling that you went back in time when you step inside.
2. The Sky Deck at The Willis Tower
Another must see attraction is going to the top of The Willis Tower (formerly known as The Sears Tower) in this building you are taken 103 floors up and 1,353 feet above Chicago. The pictures you get up here out on the glass rooms are unreal and priceless. You get the best view of the city up there.
3. The Bean in Millennium Park
Mostly everything in Chicago is walking distance so why not take a nice walk to Millennium Park to see the famous Bean (also known as Cloud Gate) statue! This statue is a Chicago staple and has been seen in many movies (for example The Vow).4. The Chicago Marquee
In the theatre district you'll see the Chicago Marquee which is featured on many souvenir items that you can purchase. Seeing it in person is such a different experience because it is so magnificent. You will definitely want to get your picture in front of it.Now there are so many more places you can visit in Chicago, but this list is four must visits. This is one very photogenic city, if i do say so myself. You simply cannot visit this city and skip over these places.
