For example, you can try spending more time outdoors, having a skincare routine or doing around five minutes of meditation each day. Keep a Positive Mindset

Since negativity never got anyone anywhere, it's important to maintain a positive mindset. For starters, you can turn any negative thoughts you may have into positive ones. Besides this, when you have negative thoughts towards others, try doing a good deed. This could be donating to a charity you admire, volunteering for a cause you care about or opening a door for someone in a wheelchair. Another way to stay positive is to write down what you're grateful for in a gratitude journal on a regular basis. Some things you might be grateful for include your family, friends, nature, your job or something else.

Exercise Regularly

Instead of committing to run a marathon, make your exercise goals easy. For one, you can go for a 20 minute walk every day. Other ways to start exercising are going for a bike ride or a moderate-pace jog, or doing basic yoga poses. In addition, taking a class locally or online can help you stay dedicated to your goals. You'll have the chance to meet like-minded people who will challenge you. Of course, you might even make some lifelong friends. Finally, make sure to make exercise fun by doing what you enjoy. Other ideas to make it more exciting are working out with a friend or family member, purchasing athletic wear you love and just being yourself. And if you don't genuinely want to do a particular exercise, try something else.

Write in a Daily Journal

Writing can be a truly healing experience that can be helpful in organizing thoughts and staying committed to goals. For instance, if you want to eat healthier meals, you can keep track of this goal by writing down what you eat for each meal. This can also help you understand which bad habits you may need to change. Further, journaling is a simple way to relieve stress, boost memory, encourage self-reflection and inspire creativity, among other things.

Eat More Plant-Based Foods

Consequently, eating meat and dairy can lead to serious health problems such as some cancers, diabetes and heart disease. Indeed, consuming dairy and meat isn't necessary at all, because you can obtain all of your nutrition from fruits, vegetables, grains and beans. Moreover, eating plant-based foods can boost immunity which can be helpful in avoiding the coronavirus. You can also lose weight, pay less for groceries and contribute to saving the planet by lowering your carbon footprint. A few examples of plant-based recipes you might like are Meatless BBQ Skewers, Fully-Loaded Vegan Nachos, Cashew Mushroom Sliders, Vegan Mac 'n' Cheese and plenty more.

Improving your life can seem like a huge challenge you might rather avoid. But you can make living healthier a lot easier by setting achievable, bite-sized goals. Doing so will make you want to commit more often. In fact, if you don't already, you might even start to enjoy what you're doing.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
