Oh look a family just arrived on their campsite, probably thinking they are going to enjoy their so called 'camping trip.'
Haha yeah right.
Maybe if I just sit on this flower and wait. Mmmm, this flower is sweeter than the others. Wait what was I supposed to be doing... oh yeah, observe family. Ah ha, they are setting up their tent, now is my chance!
Would they stop moving so much! I can't find a spot...oh wait, I see skin, yes! Wow this leg is hairy. Ok, now I have to watch out for the hand. They aren't even looking. I sipped their blood, but since they are distracted, I'll fly a little lower on their leg.
Oh no they noticed! Abort! Abort! *Hand slaps the leg aggressively*
Phew, they missed.
Mosquito:1 Human: 0.
This is probably what was going on through the mind of a mosquito that bit my leg a couple weeks ago.
Mosquitos. One of the bugs that we sometimes tend to forget they exist until they bite us, or sting us. After they sting us, or bite us, do we remember that maybe we should spray ourselves with bug spray. But what good is that when they all ready bit us, and we are sitting there fighting the urge not to scratch. Among the other bugs are:
1. Ticks
Unlike Mosquitos who would fly away after they bite you, ticks continuously draw blood. These ticks attach to your skin, and the only way to remove them is with tweezers, pulling out the tick from the tip where it is attached to your skin. What's bad about ticks is that they carry Lyme disease.
2. Ant Bites
Fire ants sting the skin, and leave the skin looking like pimples. The sting causes pain and is followed by itching. However, in some cases, people experience hallucinating, or allergic to the stings and experience dizziness.
3. Spider Bites
This is not saying all spiders bite, (possibly because the time it bit you, you would have managed to kill it) and not all spiders cause the same symptoms. However, the unanimous symptom of the spider bite is itching. Black Widows and Brown Recluse spider are poisonous.
4. Mosquito Bites
Mosquitos. They live by the swamps and lakes in forests. They bite you when you least expect it leaving an itchy pinkish-red bump. These mosquitos carry diseases like the ZIKA and West Nile Virus.
The best way to protect yourself against these bugs are bugs spray containing DEET, and being aware these bugs are, and if you are in fact stung or bit to not scratch it.
