If you're a student enrolled in a college or university, you have most likely faced one or more of these scenarios...

1. Using liquor bottles as decorations in your dorm room.

2. Hanging up photos of your high school friends on your wall.

3. Coming back from a party drunk and not knowing what to do with yourself.

4. Falling asleep in the library, the dining hall...practically anywhere.

5. Keeping Christmas lights up all year.

6. Feeling disgusted from eating the same food from the dining halls on a daily basis.

7. The way midterms and finals make you feel.

8. How thankful you are when you make it off campus, whether it is for a trip home or just down the street for a Chipotle dinner.

9. Everyone always seems to be wearing sorority or fraternity apparel.

10. You run out of money on your meal plan way too often.

11. You start the semester with notebooks and a backpack to then walk into your final six months later without something to write with.

12. Starting off the semester looking nice every day and ending the semester wearing sweatpants on a daily basis.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
