We have all been there at some point.

That moment when your alarm goes off and you just want to roll up and stay in your comforter for hours on end, it hits us all every once in a while. You probably aren't very shocked by that because I am willing to guess that you have been there. Sometimes, sleeping just sounds far more appealing than whatever the day has in store.

In case you needed some motivation, here are some reasons that you have got to get out of bed today.

1. There is a whole world out there to explore.

2. There is someone out there who wants to see you smile.

3. There are hikes to go on and places to see.

4. This could be the best day of your life and if you don't get out of bed, you might just miss it.

5. You'll need food at some point.

6. Going outside could (and probably will) lift your spirits.

7. Getting out of bed means you can create something (paint, write, draw, anything really).

8. Someone could really inspire you today if you give them the chance to.

9. You can do something today that you've been wanting to do for a long time.

10. You can't take a road trip from your bed.

11. If you leave bed, you could drive to a donut shop (as you should).

12. The coffee isn't going to drink itself.

13. I am willing to bet there is somewhere else that will lift your spirits more than your own room.

14. There are memories to be made today.

15. You can go get ice cream.

16. Someone may need you to be their shoulder to cry on today.

17. There are 364 other days this year, sleep can wait.

18. Your story matters and it is more difficult to share it from your bed.

19. Introvert or extrovert, there are people that you can confide in when you leave the comfort of your own home.

20. There are flowers outside and they are pretty, so you have got to see them.

25. Petting a dog is sure to lift ya' up a little bit and those are typically outside.

26. You can try something new today.

27. You might learn something really important today.

28. If you are able to walk or talk or breathe, be grateful that you were given another day.

29. You can do something adventurous today.

30. Today, you can live a life filled with joy, choose joy today.

Whether you feel like getting out of bed today is worth it or not, just know that you are so loved and valued. Whether you are feeling lazy, sad, happy, nervous, anxious, or anything, you are valued and that is a reason in itself to jump out of bed and face what the day has to hold. You never know who you could inspire just by being present.

Take a second, be grateful for the day that lies ahead and then get up and live it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
