On New Year’s Day, I was laying in bed when I woke up, scrolling through Pinterest. I use Pinterest for a lot of things, canvas inspiration, recipes, dorm room hacks and ideas, wedding ideas. I have a board where I pin pretty handwriting and quotes. One of the things that I pinned, multiple times I might add, was a 30-day journaling challenge. Each day was a three to four word prompt that you're meant to write about.
Journaling can be really helpful for a people and their mental health. Reflecting and writing down your thoughts can make you calm and more at peace. You can keep a dream journal, a Bible dedication journal, or something called a bullet journal, where you reflect about your day, write to do lists, and a lot of other things to keep track of your day. Since I’ve started this 30 day journal challenge, I’ve been more relaxed and at peace, as hippie as that sounds. The challenge prompts have had me reflecting on my past, my future, and my present, which has been really helpful during the first few days of the new year, given the past few years I’ve experienced.
I’ve come up with my own 30 day journaling challenge, and I challenge everyone who reads this to try and complete it. Don't use one word, yes or no answers; stop and spending some time on what you're writing.
