3 Things People Get Offended About Too Easily

Being offended is a choice.

What one person says about someone else, doesn't give them the right to judge, just to listen.

Oh, the things I see on social media. You know, I am not offended that you are offended by my posts but more that you didn't bother to do any research of your own on them. We all know who these people are, usually parents or people older than us that like to tell us when we are being too "offensive" for social media. Which is funny, because in real life, I still get this and I am not even being the worst part!

1. Type 1: The Political Post

Okay, we all know this is probably one of the most triggering because we live in this day and age of literally anyone can be President and just about every person has an opinion on that. I guess my opinions of what this country should do with its power is offensive. Everyone makes fun of something or someone at some point, but honestly, who cares? It is like public gossip, but just over the Internet.

2. Type 2: The Progressive Views

This one gives me a headache. A lot of people in college are heading in a slightly left way (which I love). It gives us the chance to show that we are open to most things and will do just about anything we please. I think of it as freedom to do anything we want and show the world our views on it. We are a type of people to not have a closed mind. We are wide open and for a good reason.

3. Type 3: The Jokes

This one is pretty broad, but for example. I can make a joke about something — maybe a celeb or just human behavior in general — and someone will have to be like "that's mean, take it down" or "that is just offensive" when literally I had not said one cuss word and literally stated what I thought was funny. People like to start stuff by simply commenting on another's post just because they feel it will make them feel better or in their "safe space".

For these encounters, stay strong my friends. The conversations you have with these people can only go up from there.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
