For those who don't have Attention Deficit Disorder, you might be unaware of the struggles that the people who do suffer from this disorder go through on a day-to-day basis. Hopefully, this list can make you laugh while learning our struggles.
Everyone is different. So, this list might not apply to everyone. So let's get star-- wait I wonder if the squirrels on Wheeler Lawn have ADD. Can someone get on this?
1. Forgetting to take your medicine.
Starting off with the morning routine and forgetting to take your medicine is NOT good. For me, that usually ends with me going to class with a cup of coffee acting like Hammy from "Over The Hedge." Then it becomes almost impossible to focus on anything for longer than 0.5 seconds.
2. When someone asks "Are you on Adderall?"
It's a question I get every time I tell someone I have ADD. Adderall is one of the strongest ADD medications out there. Just because many people are on the drug and it being well known doesn't mean that I am on it. And don't even try to get me to give you my medication for your exam. It's illegal and dumb.
3. Once your medicine wears off you become a completely different person.
This one might pertain to just me, but when my meds wear off, I completely change. When it's in my system, I am more mellow. When I'm off of it, I am more social and I have more energy. But I have a much harder time remembering conversations and staying focused on something for very long.
If you have ADD or know someone who can relate, just know you're not alone!
