Every teenager occasionally (or perhaps more often than not), sleeps late to accommodate heaps of homework and assessments. However, some of us sleep late less by choice and more by natural inclination. Night-owls prefer to sleep later as opposed to earlier, and while we may not be able to alter our natural predispositions, we can muse together over our mutual struggles.
1. The drowsy mornings
When you stay up for another half-hour to watch a little more TV or catch up on a little studying, you often forget the drowsy feelings that come along with waking up early. The later you sleep and the earlier you wake up, the less sleep you get overall. Annoying, but simple, math that just makes you tired.
2. Not feeling healthy
I don't know about you, but whenever I see pictures of people who wake up at 6 AM to exercise and drink green juice, I feel a slight pang of jealousy. Sure, I could be more healthy, but I doubt I'll ever wake up before the sun. Let's be realistic.
3. Late night creativity bursts
Honestly, some of the best stuff I've ever written has been late at night, far from sundown, when the rest of the house is asleep. It's weird when the only sound you hear in the house is your own typing, trying to get all the newfound inspiration down before you lose it.
