I recently went to Ulta and TJMaxx and got 4 new skincare products to test out. Here are some of my initial thoughts.
1. Pearlessence Coconut Rose Hydrating Face Mist
I purchased this at TJMaxx, and upon first spray, this mist felt awesome. It's very fine, so it won't leave little droplets on your skin. It's hydrating without over-saturating, and overall I quite like it. However, don't let the picture deceive you. This thing is massive. It's 8 fluid ounces and in a glass bottle, so maybe don't lug this around in your purse.
2. ValJean Labs Glow and Hydrate Serums
These little guys are dirt cheap at TJMaxx (they're $6.99.) They're sold at Urban Outfitters for something alongs the lines of 15 bucks, which I think is ridiculous, but it's fairly typical of Urban Outfitters. The Hydrate serum is really lightweight and feels great for oily and combo skins. It doesn't feel tacky and sinks right in. The Glow serum is a bit more congealed for lack of a better word, and it really gives a nice, natural sheen on the skin. Nothing too extreme, but I like it.
3. The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask
Not gonna lie, I only bought this because it was on sale at Ulta. I tried it last night and honestly, I didn't notice any amazing results. The texture on my face was a little weird and it was hard to rinse off, but I didn't feel like my skin was very hydrated or anything. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention, but come on, I should at least feel something.
