3 Reasons Why Everyone Should Own A Dog
Morgan Elane Lewis

Have you ever needed a friend? Someone to just talk to? Someone that will love you unconditionally? In a dog, you find that they are the best listeners and best friends you could ever ask for. Everyone always laughs because I talk to my dog like she's a human; however, they do not understand the bond we have with each other. I feel everyone should have a dog because:

1. Dogs help keep you relaxed

Yes, even when they're playful, they keep you calm. Your dog makes you happy and laugh. You find yourself peaceful, and nothing can ruin your mood. Your dog is there to cheer you up when you're sad, be a snuggle partner when you're sleepy, and listen when you need it most. Dogs overall make everyone happy and seem to reduce stress and tension.

2. Dogs really are a mans best friend

Have you ever had a friend stick up for you? Your dog would do the same thing. Stick right by your side, no matter who is trying to mess with you. Your dog will listen to you when you're venting for endless amounts of hours. Your dog will love you even if you are the stupidest person on the earth and made a huge mistake. With a dog, they only know one love: unconditional. Though they may not like you at times, you'll always be their person.

3. Dogs are exciting to have around

When I first picked my puppy up, little did I know what she'd have in store for me. Everyone always complains about how slow their dog learns things or complains about how they tore something up. For us, it was opposite. My sweet little baby blew me away when she was potty trained in a week. We could not be more proud. She was so happy when she got rewarded and we could not wait to see what she did next. When she learned how to sit to even when she learned how to play catch, she kept us on our toes and gave us constant entertainment. Today, we can watch her run around and bounce all over the place because she's so happy. It tickles us to see her so excited about every little thing.

Dogs are an animal everyone should consider. They know how to put a smile on our faces and show us the true meaning of love. Overall, owning a dog is the best thing that can happen to us.

When it comes to Bloomington-Normal, there are many outstanding factors that any Illinois State student can say are unique to our college town (and maybe others too). Proud or not, we Redbirds know all the ins and outs of Blono.

1. The wait for Buffalo Wild Wings is always going to be long on Thursday nights.

As hard as we try, it's nearly impossible to resist the 69-cent wings on a college student budget. Plus, they are always delicious!
