Let's be honest ladies and gents, pajamas are everyone’s favorite outfit. Not only because you can still wear your camp and high school t-shirt with those fuzzy pants from 8th grade, but also it’s ridiculously comfortable and officially starts your bedtime routine. Since you were a youngster, you were taught to brush your teeth, put on your pajamas, and go to sleep. But, recent studies have found that going to sleep naked is actually better for you. Sleeping in the nude can help you lose weight, improve your sleep, and boost your self-esteem. But don’t fret; you can still wear that cute pajama set that you got for Christmas for a pajama party!

Shed belly fat: Not wearing pj’s to bed can increase your metabolism and promote fat burn. When your body is cold, your metabolism works harder to keep you warm. The harder your metabolism works, the faster you burn fat. Also, a stress hormone called cortisol can impact your appetite and energy levels. A decrease in cortisol helps you feel energized for the morning. But high cortisol makes you feel hungry when you wake up and crave fatty foods like muffins, pancakes, and waffles.

Sleep like a baby: As you sleep, your body temperature naturally declines. But, if you wear pajamas, you can interrupt this process and wake up in a damp puddle of sweat. Wearing clothes to bed disrupts your sleeping cycle and prevents your body from properly regulating its temperature. Sleeping naked gives your body the ability to cool down, thus letting you fall deeper into sleep.

Feel confident: Sleeping naked instantly makes you feel sexier and helps you get comfortable in your own skin. Spending time naked makes you get accustomed to your own body. The more time you spend naked, the more comfortable you become, thus boosting your confidence. Also, while you gain sleeping naked boosts your self-esteem and confidence, it also boosts the possibility of sex. The lack of clothing and skin-to-skin contact increases the likelihood of having sex with your mate.

If these reasons aren’t enough to persuade you to sleep naked, also consider that sleeping naked is more comfortable, decreases stress, saves money, and is healthier for your “downstairs.” So take off those worn out flannel pants and junior variety t-shirt from 10th grade volleyball- its time to put your birthday suit on.

I know I don't say it enough, so let me start off by saying thank you.

You'll never understand how incredibly blessed I am to have you in my life. You'll also never understand how special you are to me and how much I love you.

I can't thank you enough for countless days and nights at your house venting, and never being too busy when I need you. Thank you for the shopping days and always helping me find the best deals on the cutest clothes. For all the appointments I didn't want to go to by myself. Thank you for making two prom days and a graduation party days I could never forget. Thank you for being overprotective when it comes to the men in my life.

Most importantly, thank you for being my support system throughout the numerous highs and lows my life has brought me. Thank you for being honest even when it isn't what I want to hear. Thank you for always keeping my feet on the ground and keeping me sane when I feel like freaking out. Thank you for always supporting whatever dream I choose to chase that day. Thank you for being a second mom. Thank you for bringing me into your family and treating me like one of your own, for making me feel special because you do not have an obligation to spend time with me.

You've been my hero and role model from the time you came into my life. You don't know how to say no when family comes to you for help. You're understanding, kind, fun, full of life and you have the biggest heart. However, you're honest and strong and sometimes a little intimidating. No matter what will always have a special place in my heart.

There is no possible way to ever thank you for every thing you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Thank you for being you.

With my freshman year coming to an end, I realized a lot of things. I made new friends, I found new hobbies, and I learned a lot of lessons. One of them being that the "Freshman 15" is very real and very scary.

While my friends and family have attempted multiple times to convince me that I'm just being dramatic (I am), I still want to make a change in my lifestyle or I will, in all seriousness, be on track to the "Sophomore 20".

Here is a list of my best gym and healthy lifestyle tips that I am slowly attempting to live by this summer in order to resurrect Emily's 18-year-old body and health.

1. Increase water intake.

2. Find a gym buddy.

3. Start off with cardio.

4. Don't stop on your cardio until you're dripping in sweat.

5. Chug a LOT of water an hour before the gym.

Do not do it right before, or you will be in pain.

6. Eat light beforehand but just enough to hold you over.

7. Plan out what your routine will be BEFORE you get there.

My routine: Elliptical for a mile, Stairmaster for 10 minutes, ab HIIT workout for 10 minutes, 5 more minutes on Stairmaster.

8. Buy healthy foods while you're feeling motivated.

9. Find a gym that isn't too far from your house.

10. Don't get mad at yourself if you don't see results in a day.

I know this is a hard one.

11. Try fitness classes.
