Life as a college student can bring about a lot of stress. Homework, tests, projects, work -- all of this can create a dark cloud around us once in a while. But, sometimes, there are ways to relieve stress even at its worst! Try some of these stress relievers out and see what works best for you!

Move around!

Exercise can be one of the best ways to relieve stress. Even if you can fit in 30 minutes a day, it'll make all the difference. And if going to a gym brings even more stress to some of you -- try some yoga or even a walk around the block.

Food and drinks.

Sometimes, all you need is some food to help that massive headache you're having or a nice cup of green tea to help soothe your senses. If you're a chocolate lover, this will definitely make you feel better (it does for me).

Music and fun

Relieving stress doesn't always need to involve leaving your home. Cuddling up on your couch and writing in a journal can be equally as relieving. Sometimes writing your emotions down can be a big help.

Writing isn't your thing? Try listening to some of your favorite music! Work on a puzzle or even a coloring book -- no one is ever too old to color in a coloring book!

Take a small part of your day and do what makes you happy. Whatever your hobby is, incorporate it into your daily routine -- trust me, stress will no longer be a permanent resident in your mind.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
