In a few days, summer will officially be over for me...and everyone else whose school starts back in the month of August. It's that time again to start using that money we all worked so hard for over the past couple of months and spend it on tuition, housing, and most important, school books. Buying or renting books can be such a headache and even being a senior it can still be a little stressful, but I've found a way to make it just a bit easier for everyone. So check it out below and let me know what you think!
1. Reserve textbooks from the library.
I call it "my happy place." Yes, the library! Especially if you're part of the Humanities major and the majority of your books are literature-based, try reserving your books through the library. I can't tell you how much I've saved just by doing this over the years. Plus since a lot of people don't normally do this, you've got a head start. Just thank me later!
2. Borrow books from friends.
Another way to save money is to borrow books from friends. It cost absolutely nothing but the time it takes to meet up with said friend and get the book. And what else do college students love besides pizza, free stuff! Bonus if your friends are taking the same class as you, that way you both save money.
3. Rent from places like Chegg or Amazon.
Last but not least, renting from the cool places like Chegg or Amazon. With Amazon you can use their Prime for students and get the books in record time. Renting is always much cheaper than buying since you get to return them after a period of time.
