As the spring semester begins, I can’t help but think about everything that my school has taught me in life. Over the past 2 years, State has certainly educated me on a great number of topics. But while SDSU has given me a lot of answers about important things, it has also left me with many questions. Therefore, I present 29 questions for SDSU that I have yet to find the answers to—can anybody help me out?

1. Has anybody ever actually rubbed Samuel T. Black’s statue’s foot for good luck?

2. Why haven’t we turned our weekly farmer’s market into a daily one?

3. Why are we a Pepsi school when we all know that Coke is clearly superior?

4. How come I don’t get a student discount to concerts at Viejas Arena or the Open Air Theater?

5. Why isn’t Cream on the meal plan?

6. Why isn’t Chipotle on the meal plan?

7. Most importantly, why isn’t Trujillo’s on the meal plan?

8. Speaking of, which is better—Trujillo’s or Señor Pancho?

9. Can we please renovate Maya/Olmeca before we start construction on another dorm building?

10. Like, seriously—have you ever been in there?

11. Why did we rename all of the parking structures? Wasn’t parking already bad enough?

12. Is it necessary to have three Starbucks locations on campus?

13. And is it necessary for me to visit every single one each week?

14. Am I the only one who gets out of breath from walking up Hilltop Way?

15. If I’m not, can we all agree to renovate the campus just to remove it?

16. Why is it that we refer to the Meals Plus Plan as the “fat kid meal plan” when we all know that the Freshman 15 is bound to hit us no matter what kind of plan we’re on?

17. Where did the turtles in the turtle pond come from?

18. How personally offended were you when KB Books closed?

19. How can I become the Aztec mascot?

20. Why does everybody compare us to USD and UCSD?

21. Why do we register for classes so late?

22. Why is Chappy so far away from campus?

23. Why did the bookstore give me $4 when I sold my $40 textbook back to them at the end of the semester? Talk about a scam.

24. When is the next lettuce club meeting?

25. Why do you kick us out of our dorms for our Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks?

26. Can someone please fix the wobbly tiles outside of the library dome?

27. Who is responsible for the recent mumps epidemic on our campus? I just want to talk.

28. Why is The Show the greatest student section to be a part of?

29. Even though I complain about this school every day, why do I still love going here?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
