Words are such a powerful thing and they have such a strong effect on you when you read them at the perfect moment. Falling back in love with myself has been so beautiful, and there were many times when I found quotes on Tumblr that just helped alter my perspective a little more to help the growth continue on. I thought I’d share.

1. Stay away from people who make you feel like you’re hard to love.

2. And though you hurt me, I cannot regret being yours for a time because you’ve helped me realize I deserve so much more (so I thank you).

3. You deserve to be loved without having to hide the parts of yourself that you think are unlovable.

4. I’m not searching for my other half because I’m not a half.

5. Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of. Neither is talking about it.

6. Butterflies cannot see their wings but the rest of the world can.

7. May you find laughter in the midst of broken days.

8. What a beautiful thing it is to adapt. To learn from your mistakes and build a new world of all your broken pieces.

9. Where you are is not who you are.

10. I am too full of life to be half loved.

11. You need to love yourself the way you love everyone else, maybe then you will finally feel whole.

12. I should have loved you less. I should have loved myself more.

13. Sometimes you need to take a break from everyone and spend time alone, to experience, appreciate and love yourself.

14. She lost him but she found herself and somehow that was everything.

15. I am mine before I am ever anyone else’s.

16. How you love yourself is how you teach others to love you.

17. You not wanting me was the beginning of me wanting myself. Thank you.

18. Let your past make you better not bitter.

19. Be gentle with yourself, you’re doing the best you can.

20. Falling in love with yourself doesn’t make you vain or selfish, it makes you indestructible.

21. It’s okay that everything isn’t okay all the time.

22. She knew this transition was not about becoming someone better, but about finally allowing herself to become who she’d always been.

23. If you’re searching for that one person that will change your life, take a look in the mirror.

24. You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress simultaneously.

25. Embrace the glorious mess that you are.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
