Going to the gym is never fun (well, not for me), but I decided to go recently and try out our campus' new recreational center! It was a miserable fail, so for all of us "non gym-rats" out there, here are the thoughts I had and you may have too.
1. Where do I put all of my stuff?
2. Oh, there are lockers? OK didn't know that.
3. There's "that girl" who always looks perfect. I'll put my stuff next to hers.
4. OK–where should I start?
5. I guess running is a good start.
6. Crap, I forgot how to turn this thing on.
7. Oh–whoops OK there it goes. Almost fell.
8. This is pretty easy–I'll speed it up a bit.
9. Juuuusssst kiddding–I'll just get off now.
10. Do I lift weights now?
11. There's that girl again–I'll just follow her lead.
12. Holy...Wow–10 pounds is not as light as it seems.
13. You lift these dumbbells over your head?
14. Oh my god, whatever my arm just did, it didn't sound good.
15. I'm sweating. Is that normal?
16. That girl isn't sweating.
17. I need to take a water break.
18. Oh OK, that machine looks easy...you just pull yourself up.
19. HAHA oh my God, I really hope no one just saw me try to do that.
20. I feel tired, sweaty, and very unaccomplished.
21. I'm going home now.
22. Crap, I forgot where my locker is.
23. Found it.
24. It's only been 18 minutes?????
25. Whatever. I'm never coming back.
