'One Tree Hill': one of the best shows in TV history. It's the show that got me through my freshman year of college, and it's mainly what I dedicated all of my free time to. Throughout the entire series that consists of 9 seasons, 'One Tree Hill' gets you talking. At times, you'll want to throw your phone at the TV, or you'll want to cry. You'll want to scream, get angry, or smile with joy. This show brings on a mix of emotions, and it takes you through the lives of young high school students who go to follow their dreams as adults.

Here are some of the things we say, scream, whisper, think, whatever... while watching 'One Tree Hill'.

1. "Dan Scott is literally the worst human being on this planet."

For those who have seen this show, can't we all agree? Dan Scott was manipulative and trying to get revenge, but for what? What kind of person loves to watch people get hurt? He was too caught up with living in the past, thinking he was still the star and competing against his own son to see who was better. He abandoned his high school sweetheart, Karen Roe, when she said she was pregnant with her son, Lucas Scott. I could talk on and on about how much I hate him, but he's not worth it.

2. "Oh, and Dan: I know money is power to you, but it costs $0.00 to be nice."

Money was important to him, and he loved it. But seriously, it's free to be a good person, and he was not even close to that. All he cared about was the attention, the fame, and being "the best".

3. "This love triangle between Brooke, Lucas, and Peyton needs to stop."

Lucas was caught up between two girls who fought over his heart. He couldn't choose between the music rocker girl (Peyton Sawyer), and the most popular girl at Tree Hill High (Brooke Davis). It went on in season 1, took a break in season 2, and then picked up again through seasons 3 and 4. It set me off, because Lucas was way too indecisive. This triangle was guaranteeing more heartbreak and pain by the minute.

4. "I can't stand Nikki! How could she be so mean and abandon Jenny?"

She was mean, easy, and cruel. She thought she knew what was best for the daughter that she left behind. Poor Jake Jagielski tried to make ends meet to give Jenny the best life, but it was hard for him to do that when Nikki was always popping up out of nowhere and trying to kidnap the baby. Whenever I saw her, I would instantly turn angry and wish her away from the show.

5. "Nathan needs to stop being a jerk to everyone; it's giving me a headache."

My head hurt every single time I saw it. He stomped on anyone who disrupted him on his path to success, but he wasn't getting anywhere far. He treated Peyton like crap when they dated, and he got around with other girls and pretended like it was nothing. But this was all before Haley James, the tutor girl. Thank goodness for Haley, who changed Nathan and made him one of the greatest characters on the show in the end.

6. "Lucas needs to quit being so stubborn about things."

Seriously! He was so grouchy and whiny about every little thing. In the beginning, he would act all defensive against literally everyone, except Peyton, maybe. It was like every person in Tree Hill was out to get him. His indecisiveness, like I mentioned, was a reason why he was super stubborn. Then, he hopped on a roller coaster of good days and bad days. For example, he was all nice to Dan one day, and then hating on him the next day. He let loose a little bit as the show went on, but I always got so mad watching him blow everything off with an attitude.

7. "But they're both super cute anyway, so it's okay."

It's true, even though they can be heart-breakers and hypocrites. I don't know which boy is cuter.

8. "My heart keeps breaking for Keith."

Keith Scott, Dan's older brother, used his beautiful personality and heart to win fans over. He had a bunch of friends in the show who loved him, and Dan was jealous of that. Dan constantly set up a bunch of ways to screw Keith over, including the so-called love affair with Emily Chambers, also known as Jules. Dan stole Keith's idea of opening up his own auto business, claiming the dealership title and leaving Keith behind to only be a mechanic. Keith also tried to win over Karen's heart, but she wasn't budging. He was my favorite character on the show. He kept hurting, so I hurt for him.

9. "Karen is such a great mom to Lucas, and a good second mom to Nathan and Haley."

I admire Karen Roe for her strength, courage, humor, and beauty. She's pretty inside and out, and she protected her son, Lucas Scott, with her own life. Karen was around during the first half of the series. She was what a mother should always be. She was a very big influence in Lucas' world, but also in Nathan and Haley's worlds. Haley was already like a daughter to her anyway, because her and Lucas were best friends, and she worked at the cafe. But when Haley left Nathan for music, Karen stood up for him and she was there for him while he was missing Haley. I loved that about her!

10. "Deb annoys me sometimes."

Deb Scott, Nathan's mother, was great at first, calling a truce with Karen about the whole situation with Dan, and helping her out with the cafe while Karen was away in Italy. But around season 2, she started going off the deep end with her constant shunning to Haley and her swallowing pills. She even tried to kill Dan by setting his dealership on fire and poisoning him (even for Dan, I thought that was a little over-the-top). She builds up an attitude that I personally can't ignore. She couldn't be trusted. Towards the end of the series, she stepped up her game; she left Dan for good and prevented Nanny Carrie from hurting Haley and Jamie.

11. "Mouth needs a girlfriend."

Marvin McFadden, nicknamed Mouth, was always seen as the "little brother" to girls. They depended on him whenever they needed something, but no girl ever saw Mouth as a potential boyfriend. He had the biggest crush on Brooke Davis for the longest time. It was sad watching his heart break, but I knew that his time would come for a nice, good girl.

12. "Millie is the one!"

Finally, Mouth gets a real girlfriend with good looks and smarts. Her name is Millicent Huxtable. She started off with being Brooke's assistant with Clothes Over Bros, Brooke's famous fashion line. Although she went through some major rock bottom lows with modeling and drugs, she finally realized that Mouth was the love of her life, and the one she wanted by her side through the rest of the mean storms that were to come.

13. "Chris Keller is not cute and needs to leave Haley alone!"

Chris Keller is not fooling anybody. I can't stand this guy; his music isn't even good. He tried to steal Haley away from her normal life as a smart high school student in Tree Hill. Yes, Haley had that beautiful gift of singing and music, but Keller was only trying to lure her into an unwanted relationship. It was a get-back at Nathan. However, Haley was also to blame for leaving Nathan behind. It was just a confusing mess, and I was glad that it cleared up.

14. "Yes! Karen finally agrees to marry Keith! Thank you!"

It's about time! Karen realized that Keith was the guy for her. He was there for her all those years while she was raising Lucas. He was described as a father figure, that he was more of a dad than Dan ever was. He loved her so much, and their relationship was there the whole time. They were just both afraid to reach for it. Keith had popped the question twice to Karen, and I guess the second time was the charm for her.

15. "Keith, noooooo!"

Keith had everything finally falling into place. He wanted to be Lucas' adoptive father. He was getting married, and he was getting a child. But he didn't know that at the time. I'm not one to spoil anything, but this will hurt you the most as you watch this show. I can't say anymore, because I'll give it away. I'll just mention that I sobbed super hard when this happened. Just wait. You won't really know heartbreak until you watch this episode of season 3.

16. "Haley is so strong."

She really is. She fought major battles and I was so proud of her for it. I want her strength. She survived a hit-and-run accident while she was pregnant with her son, James Lucas Scott. It was tough for her to lose both of her parents, which was super sad. She had been through letdowns and depression, but her family, friends, and music saved her, always.

17. "Finally! Lucas picked Peyton!"

My gosh, it took you long enough, Lucas! He went through so many girls to find out that his soulmate was there in front of him all along. Brooke wasn't his type, and Lindsey was just horrible. His one-night-stands would never own up to P. Sawyer. Lucas married Peyton, and then they had a beautiful baby girl named Sawyer.

18. "Nanny Carrie is a psycho; get her off of the show!"

What a nice babysitter! No. Not at all. When she interviewed with Haley for the first time, I had known that something was up. Something was funky about her. She loved Jamie way too much, and she flirted with Nathan often. Her plan was to get rid of Haley and make Nathan fall in love with her, just so she could have possession of Jamie. She had lost a child in the past, so she thought Jamie could be a replacement. She thought wrong.

19. "Run, Jamie, run!"

I'd like to point out that I did, in fact, scream that quote when I watched this episode. Nanny Carrie had entered the loony bin a long time before in the show, but this exact moment was when she went certifiably crazy. She chased Jamie through a cornfield, right after hitting Haley on the head and knocking her out. But no worries; both Haley and Jamie escaped, and Nanny Carrie was done for good.

20. "Quinn and Clay are SO going to end up together!"

Clay Evans, Nathan's agent, was stuck in a dark place. He was scared of moving on to somebody else, since his wife had died so young and so suddenly. Then, he met Quinn James, Haley's beautiful older sister. She changed his whole world and made him happy. She was also getting over a tough divorce. They both found each other, and I knew that they were going to be a thing from the start.

21. "Yes! Brooke and Julian had babies!"

I was waiting for this moment. Brooke was such a great mom, or at least a nice mother figure to many people, including a troubled teen named Sam, whom she wanted to adopt. But in season 7, Brooke had told her fiance, Julian, that she was unable to have children. That disappointed many fans, including me. And then, boom: Brooke had not one baby, but two!

22. "Wait, Clay has a son?"

That whole Sarah and Clay dilemma already had me confused. But now I'm just hearing that they had a kid together? His name is Logan, and he is the CUTEST. He melted my heart. I just didn't understand why this was never brought up until the last couple seasons of the show. Clay was so caught up in his wife, Sarah's death that he forgot about Logan. Clay had some health issues, and he started wandering around "looking for something that was lost". He got some help, and as it turned out, he was really looking for Logan. Aww!

23. "Well, maybe Dan has some good in him."

I'm only saying maybe! After all, he killed Nanny Carrie, and he saved Nathan from getting hurt or murdered during his kidnapping. It was Dan's idea to get Nathan out of that trap, and he got shot in the back from protecting him. Where did that come from? That was the kind of father Dan should have been all along. I just wish he was like that throughout the whole show. But I guess the show wouldn't have been as good if that were the case!

24. "I've never liked Gavin DeGraw's music until now."

This is true. His songs didn't even come to mind, until I watched this show the first time around. 'I Don't Want To Be' is now the new hit again, while 'Chariot' and 'Soldier' trail behind it. I sing these songs on a daily basis now, thanks to OTH.

25. "This is one of the best shows ever!"

I'm so glad that I was introduced to it 2 years ago. I'm currently re-watching it again on Netflix, saying the same exact things, and going through the same pain. I wish it would make a reappearance again on regular cable TV. I'll never stop loving it, and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone when I say that.

These 25 things are only just a few of the things we say while we're watching 'One Tree Hill'. I'm sure some of you fans have already blurted them all, and I'm sure I've left out a couple more. But what we all share is a love for this awesome show that gives us light, love, and encouragement for life.

P.S., they better not take OTH off of Netflix. We need it to thrive.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
