25 Things To Do This Christmas Season

Don't even act like you didn't start the day after Halloween...

1. Pull out the Christmas tree, the nativity sets, the lights, the silly yard decorations -- EVERYTHING. It's time to decorate, people. (Currently laughing because my apartment has been in Christmas mode since about September)

2. Go buy those fuzzy Christmas-themed blankets (FINALLY!).

3. While you're at it, you might as well buy all those ridiculously cute Christmas socks...

4. Have a Christmas movie marathon! ("White Christmas," "It's a Wonderful Life," "Elf"...and a gazillion more!)

5. Drink every holiday coffee drink at Starbucks (Caramel Brûlée Latte, Eggnog Latte, Fudge Hot Chocolate, Gingerbread Latte...just to name a few, in case you weren't already in your car and on your way, like me).

6. Start wearing those ugly Christmas sweaters (those aren't just for theme parties!).

7. Make a fun Christmas craft (mugs, canvases, wreathes, and anything and everything you can find on Pinterest...not that I have an entire board dedicated to this, or anything).

8. Take fun (and hilariously awkward) Christmas pictures with friends and family!

9. Listen to Pentatonix Christmas songs (I mean, does anyone else really even compare?).

10. Go on an ice-skating date! (hint, HINT)

11. Decorate some Christmas-shaped cookies (if you really wanna act like the dough is actually even going to make it to the oven, that is).

12. Go look at Christmas lights around town or specified venue!

13. Buy a new ornament that fits you and your year!

14. Have a Christmas party with a hot chocolate bar (or just the hot chocolate bar to yourself, no judgment).

15. Play Secret Santa with your friends.

16. Go sledding!

17. Please, for goodness sake, donate some spare change to the poor Salvation Army bell-ringers who are freezing their toes off for a great cause.

18. Make some holiday-themed puppy chow mix!

19. Watch "The Nativity Story."

20. Build a gingerbread house.

21. Hang up some strategically-placed mistletoe...

22. Roast marshmallows around a fire and make way way way too many s'mores (but really, is there even such a thing?).

23. Find a fun way to display your holiday cards!

24. Watch ABC's 25 Days of Christmas.

25. The most important one of all...watch every season of "Psych" to prepare for the "PSYCH CHRISTMAS MOVIE!" (not that I'm a fan, or anything)

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
