25 Thank Yous To My Boyfriend

Often times I sit around wondering what the hell I did to deserve someone as remarkable as my boyfriend. Like all couples that have been together for years, we've had our brightest moments and darkest days. Regardless of the hardships, we're stronger than ever. Here's 25 things I'd like to thank him for:

1. Thank you for constantly building me up and not bringing me down.

2. Thank you for feeding me even when I claim to be "full."

3. Thank you for always listening to my never-ending rants.

4. Thank you for the time you make for me even when you can't afford to.

5. Thank you for your absolute trust in me.

6. Thank you for being the one person I can tell any and everything to.

7. Thank you for maintaining patience with me.

8. Thank you for saying sorry when I'm too stubborn to say it first.

9. Thank you for pushing me to better myself, especially in moments I'm too scared to.

10. Thank you for always telling me what I need to hear and not what I want to hear.

11. Thank you for being my ride or die.

12. Thank you for helping me embrace my silly side when I'm far too serious.

13. Thank you for putting up with my indecisiveness.

14. Thank you for constantly offering to eat Chipotle only because you know it's what I always crave.

15. Thank you for pushing me to stay on my gym grind.

16. Thank you for showing me legendary movies I've missed out on.

17. Thank you for waiting on me before you watch new episodes of shows.

18. Thank you for being so forgiving.

19. Thank you for letting me DJ during our car rides 99% of the time.

20. Thank you for being such a kind and giving soul.

21. Thank you for rubbing my back until I fall asleep.

22. Thank you for being my rock.

23. Thank you for being the man my family and friends all love and appreciate.

24. Thank you for loving me unconditionally, even through the hard times.

25. Thank you for nearly 10 years of good memories and to many more.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
